Investing in publicly traded companies is a great way to grow your savings and to protect your money from the erosion of inflation. A key fundamental investment principle is the long term compounded growth of equities through capital appreciation and dividends. Historically, stocks have been better total return vehicles than bonds and this is still especially true today, given the low yields you receive on fixed income instruments.
Investment strategy:
- Fundamental disciplined investment style with focus on the long term;
- Buy quality companies at a reasonable price;
- Select companies that earn consistent good returns on equity (ROE), while having little or no debt on their balance sheets;
- Companies with high free cash flows have the ability to return cash to shareholders via dividends.
My value proposition is to offer you personalized portfolio management at a modest fee. There is no minimum contribution requirement; investments are liquid and there is no lock-up. Given the long term focus, portfolio turnover will be low and I will be cognizant of any tax implications.
For discretionary accounts, I am using E*Trade as custodian and as such I do not have access to your money. The only discretion I have is in selecting the investments and directing the trades. You will have your own personal account and you can monitor your portfolio online anytime.
